According to various measures of care, Americans with no insurance or public insurance experienced either same or worse care than those with private insurance. From 2017 to 2019, individuals with public insurance experienced worse care than individuals with private insurance for roughly 44 percent of measures in the United States. This increased to 71 percent of measures for individuals with no insurance.
