According to a 2024 survey of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) worldwide, the board of directors' three leading cybersecurity concerns were disruption to operations, loss in revenue, and reputational damage. Reputational damage appeared to be the main concern for business leaders in Japan, Spain, and Germany, with over 50 percent of CISOs of each market choosing that answer.
