According to a survey conducted during the second quarter of 2022 among mobile gamers in the United States, over half of respondents discovered installing a new app because they needed it for a specific task or because of the app's convenience. Approximately 46 percent of respondents reported downloading new apps to pass the time or due to boredom, while 43 percent reported doing so because they considered apps to be fun. Around three in 10 respondents reported downloading an app because they wanted to receive promotions or discounts.
