After 'Black Panther' lead Chadwick Boseman had passed away, many had wondered whether a sequel should take place. Fans of the Marvel universe seem to be divided by the recasting of T'Challa for the "Black Panther" sequel. According to a survey led in 2022, 20 percent of adults agreed that it was right to recast the actor. There were however generation differences; 51 percent of Gen Z adults did not agree with recasting the character, compared to 38 percent of Millenials. 31 percent of Gen Xers and 26 percent of Baby boomers also did not agree with recasting the character, which indicates that the older the fan, the more indifferent they were to recasting the character.
