According to a 2022 survey of fashion executives from companies around the world, the biggest challenge they faced when trying to improve their company's sustainability credentials in the eyes of consumers was the lack of standards to assess sustainability performance. The second biggest challenge, with a share of roughly two-thirds of respondents, was the cost of sustainable materials.
