According to a survey conducted in 2022 among individuals belonging either to private companies or to local public entities in Japan, almost 76 percent of the respondents expected a high-speed or high-volume connection from local 5G networks. It was by far the most common expectation, followed by a guarantee of security and a low latency.

*The sample size consisted of 2,032 individuals from private companies and 158 individuals from local public entities.
The survey question asked the respondents about their expectations regarding local 5G and other wireless systems and networks and the requirements regarding their operation.
