In 2021, a survey conducted in Tunisia showed that 60 percent of respondents considered the wealth gap in the country a major issue in their society. An additional 20 percent of people believed that the wealth gap was a problem to a medium extent. Overall, a combined 80 percent of people in Tunisia said that socio-economic inequality was generally an issue.
