Germany: Departing passenger volume at German sea ports 2010-2022
Number of departing passengers at German seaports has been slowly climbing since 2015, reaching close to 16 million passengers in 2019. Numbers collapsed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, dropping by nearly half. The volume of passengers began to rise again in 2021 and reached nearly 10 million passengers that year. Furthermore, in 2022, the number increased considerably and reached 13.85 million passengers, a 42 percent increase compared to the previous year.
