The highest import dependence rate among presented industrial segments in Russia concerned the machine tools manufacturing, at 90 percent as of 2022. The country demonstrated a considerably lower reliance on railway machinery imports from abroad.

The figures are as of the period prior to Western sanctions on Russia in 2022.
