Shopify share price on New York Stock Exchange between 2017-2023
The share price of Canadian e-commerce platform Shopify has significantly increased in recent years, from 10.10 U.S. dollars in December 2017 to 64.6 U.S. dollars in July 2023. However, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic during 2020 and 2021, the price rose much higher, peaking at 152.48 U.S. dollars per share in August 2021. The closure of high street stores and mobility restrictions which were implemented across the world as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in significant growth in the e-commerce industry, a fact which is reflected in Shopify's share price development.
