Asia Pacific and Africa are the regions with the highest workforce vulnerabilities due to climate extremes and economic transition impacts. In both regions, the share of total jobs that is vulnerable to such impacts was determined at 43 percent as of 2022. A significant proportion of the workforce in these regions are negatively impacted due to rising threat of extreme weather and economic transitions.
