Number of people opening a bank account in Morocco 2020-2021
In 2021, around 578,000 people opened a bank account for the first time in Morocco. The number of new bank account openings increased compared to the previous year when it stood at approximately 543,000. Moroccan citizens residing in the country accounted for over 90 percent of the newly opened bank accounts.
