As of November 2023, the ten leading diversified real estate investment trusts (REITs) in the United States had a combined market capitalization of about 22.16 billion U.S. dollars. The largest diversified REIT, W. P. Carey Inc., saw its market cap fall from 13.47 billion U.S. dollars to 11.48 billion U.S. dollars between September 2022 and November 2023.
