Australia: total investment portfolio value of investors 2021

In a survey conducted among active investors in Australia in 2021, approximately one fifth of respondents indicated that their current investment portfolio had a value below five thousand Australian dollars. Around ten percent of respondents said their portfolio has a value of between five and ten thousand Australian dollars.

[For people that do not have an SMSF] Please note this includes investment properties but excludes your home (primary place of residence) and your superannuation. [For people that have an SMSF] Please note this includes investment properties and your self-managed super fund (SMSF) but excludes your home (primary place of residence) and any super outside of your SMSF. Your best estimate is fine. [Participants were shown a list of investment products, filtered to just the ones they had indicated they currently owned]"
