According to a survey of app users in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) conducted during the second quarter of 2022, approximately 26 percent of retail app users researched the products, services, and brands they just encounter an advert while browsing the app. Users engaging with retail and shopping apps appeared also more likely to purchase directly via the in-app ad they encountered, while only seven percent of respondents reported doing the same while engaging with video and music apps.
