ATMs density in North Africa 2021, by country
In 2021, the number of automated teller machines (ATMs) in Tunisia stood at around 33 machines per 100,000 adults. The country had the highest density of ATMs in the North African region. In contrast, Libya and Algeria had the lowest number of ATMs per capita, with 3.59 and 9.3 machines per 100,000 adult individuals, respectively.
ATMs are data terminals that allow an individual to check account balances, withdraw or deposit money, and print a statement of account activities or transactions.
