Most loved or liked horror movies among adults in the U.S. 2022

During an online survey conducted in the United States in October 2022, approximately 81 percent of responding adults said they either liked or loved "The Birds" (1963). "The Silence of the Lambs" (1991) ranked second, mentioned favorably by 80 percent of respondents. Another movie by Alfred Hitchcock, "Psycho" (1960), made it to the top 10 most beloved or liked horror films in the U.S. at that time, cited by 77 percent of the interviewees. According to another study conducted around that same time, "Halloween" and "Friday the 13^th" were the favorite horror film franchises in the U.S.
