In 2020, China's total outward foreign direct investment (FDI) flows to countries along the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) amounted to 24.15 billion U.S. dollars. Of this total sum, around 9.43 billion dollars or 39 percent were invested in manufacturing indiustries of BRI countries.
