In November 2022, a significant share of adults in Great Britain considered alcohol to be a big part of watching football, with 44 percent of respondents agreeing. By contrast, 36 percent did not consider it to be a big part of the matchday experience. Alcohol and football came into discussion at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where it was banned inside stadiums.
