During the 2022 edition of the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany, Brazilian publishers closed deals valued at 928 thousand U.S. dollars, among sales of physical books as well as copyrights to foreign buyers. That value was around four percent higher than the 890-thousand-dollar revenue recorded three years earlier, in the 2019 edition of the event. Total book sales revenue in Brazil grew by 13 percent in 2021, surpassing 5.8 billion Brazilian reals.
