During a survey conducted in September 2022, nearly two thirds of Russians were annoyed by intrusive advertising on the internet. This was followed by 64 percent of respondents saying they were most irritated by advertisements that could not be closed or turned off. Ads that prevented users from reading or listening to the content they wanted were disliked by 61 percent of Russians.
