In November 2022, the most common reason for not watching the 2022 World Cup amongst adults in England was a lack of interest in the sport generally, with 49 percent of respondents indicating that they did not watch football at all. Meanwhile, 12 percent of respondents indicated that they were boycotting the event due to human rights abuses.
