¹ From 2011: poverty rates were results from the microcensus with representations based on the 2011 census and before that the 1987 (West Germany) census and 1990 (East Germany) census.
² The results of the microcensus from the survey year 2020 have limited comparability with earlier years due to methodological changes. The survey year 2020 is also affected by limitations in the survey and should therefore not be used for time comparisons with subsequent years.
