Value of selected startup acquisitions and buyouts in Africa 2022
In September 2022, the African company PEG Africa - operating in the solar power sector - was acquired by Bboxx for a value of 200 million U.S. dollars. Earlier that year, Axa Credit announced that it would be acquired by Chari for 22 million U.S. dollars. Moreover, the management buyout of UCOOK, amounting to 12.3 million U.S. dollars, was also announced in 2022.
