In 2023, China was by far the largest consumer of petrochemicals worldwide, at nearly 524.1 billion euros. The United States trailed in second, with a consumption valued at some 113 billion euros. This was followed by Germany, which used up to 85.3 billion euros worth of petrochemicals that year.
