In 2022, the South Korean province South Chungcheong province had the most suicide deaths in comparison to other South Korean provinces with around 33.2 deaths per 100,000 people. This was closely followed by Gangwon province with around 33.1 deaths. Although Gyeonggi and Seoul are the most populated regions, the two provinces had the least cases of suicide deaths.
