Among the television stations presented, RT, formerly Russia Today, had the largest coverage of Ukraine in October 2024. In that month, RT broadcast over 1,600 15-second blocks mentioning the words "Ukraine," "Ukrainian," "Kyiv," or "Kiev." Across the world, the coverage of the country sharply increased in February 2022 due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The number of 15-second TV blocks on BBC News and Al Jazeera reached around 39,300 and 32,200 in March 2022, up 1,267 times and 205 times compared to March 2021, respectively.
