An April 2022 survey found that cross-device gamers in South Korea had the highest expectations of cross-device gaming experiences. Overall, 64 percent of respondents from South Korea stated that they preferred the exact game to be available on all platforms (mobile, PC, and console) with a seamless integration across all devices. Only 46 percent of respondents from Japan felt the same.

Data is based on a survey of 10,500 respondents across 6 countries/markets. Per country, 1,900 for United States, Japan & Germany (1,000 general mobile gamers, 900 subgenre gamers), 1,600 for South Korea, Brazil & Indonesia (1,000 general mobile gamers, 600 subgenre gamers.) The source defines cross-device gamers as mobile players who have also played on any other gaming device than smartphone.
