The average price of electricity exported from France grew to almost 233 euros per megawatt-hour in 2022, after fluctuating around 40 euros per megawatt-hour before 2020, doubling in 2021 and skyrocketing in 2022. As an effect of the energy crisis, the price of electricity imported to France also increased to almost 308 euros per megawatt-hour that same year.
