In the first half of 2022, gambling ads accounted for 40 percent of all ads blocked by digital publishers worldwide. Gambling was thus the most blocked category. Pharmaceutical drugs ranked second, with 13 percent of all blocks. Cryptocurrency and alcoholic beverages followed, with seven and five percent, respectively.
