Austria: New passenger car registrations 2010-2023

New passenger car registrations in Austria had been declining between 2017 and 2022, but grew to nearly 239,200 in 2023. The sharpest decline during this period occurred between 2019 and 2020, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, when year-on-year registrations fell by nearly a quarter. Meanwhile Austrian used car registrations have remained comparatively stable.
