E-cigarettes are often the first tobacco product used by middle school and high school students in the United States. In 2021, 77 percent of tobacco product-using teenagers said that their first-used product was the e-cigarette. Back in 2014, this was only 27 percent, indicating that e-cigarettes and vaporizers have become much more popular among American teenagers.
