During an online survey conducted among adults in the United States in November 2021, about two-thirds (66 percent) of them reported being either very or somewhat interested in movie theaters run by AMC Entertainment. Regal Cinemas and Cinemark followed, as more than half of respondents expressed interest in each of them. AMC, Cinemark, and Cineworld – which controls Regal – were among the leading cinema chains in the U.S. and Canada by global revenue in 2021.
