A survey conducted during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games concluded that almost two-thirds of Chinese netizens participated in the Games by watching them online, while only five percent went to see the Games in the venues. Around one in eight respondents mentioned that they were not interested in the Winter Olympics altogether.
