Book titles banned in schools in the U.S. H2 2022, by subject matter
An analysis of book bans in school classrooms and libraries across the United States between July 2022 and December 2022 found that 44 percent of banned titles dealt with violence and physical abuse, making books with this subject matter the most likely to be restricted or removed from children in the school environment. Meanwhile, 38 percent of banned titles were centered around health and wellbeing.
