As of 2022, average 5G download speeds were over five times faster than 4G speeds in all 15 markets shown. Globally, 5G users in Malaysia saw the most uplift in average download speeds with 5G being nearly 26 times faster than 4G, though there were relatively few 5G users so this ratio is expected to decrease with further uptake, according to the source. Chile and the Philippines continue to top the list of 5G uplift in download speed.
