According to a survey conducted in China in 2022, almost 40 percent of surveyed parents of children aged 12 to 18 were worried about their children's vision. Among parents of children aged three to six, 27 percent were anxious about children's eye health. Common problems with children's eye health include myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.

Respondents were parents or guardians of children aged 3 to 18 years.
Among 1200 respondents, 400 were parents of children in kindergarten, 400 were parents of primary school pupils and 400 were parents of secondary school or high school students.
