As indicated by a survey conducted in India in 2022, over 80 percent of television consumers had channels they did not want to watch in their TV channel subscriptions. These primarily included regional and music channels. Contrariwise, less than 20 percent of subscribers across all genres reportedly watched all the channels included in their subscription. A majority of consumers chose their subscriptions through a pack of channels provided by service providers.
