According to a survey conducted in India in 2022, over 79 percent of cable television consumers depended on distribution platform operators (DPOs) to manually add and remove channels. In contrast, 60.8 percent of DTH consumers chose TV channels without the intervention of DPOs. DPOs are last mile service providers who interact with consumers.
