Gen Z was not the age group who used BNPL the most in Italy in 2021, but was estimated to be the age group who used this payment method the least. This according to big data from a single BNPL provider within Italy. Interestingly, it observed that most of its client base were in the age group between 41 and 56 years. This may be regarded as an unusual age group for buy now, pay later - although not uncommon, as is exemplified in BNPL user demographics for the United States.
