In 2021, pediatric wards across China received more than 500 million patient visits, after the number of patients dropped significantly in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19 on general hospitals. Demands for pediatric treatments increased substantially in China in the past decade, while severe illnesses such as congenital heart disease and sepsis were successfully controlled.
