During a study carried out among series viewers in Brazil in May 2022, around 70 percent of respondents said action was their favorite series genre. Police procedural, mystery, and/or crime series ranked second, mentioned by 64 percent of the interviewees. Meanwhile, drama was the most in-demand digital original genre in Brazil in 2021.
