Most social media users using Twitter recently in South Africa were men. Based on a survey conducted in 2021, around 58 percent of the social media users who used Twitter yesterday or today were men, while the remaining 42 percent were women.

The source adds that users included here are social media users who used Twitter's platform yesterday and today (at the time the survey was conducted).
