Mobile data traffic in Czechia 2013-2023

In the observed period, the amount of mobile data traffic increased significantly in Czechia, especially towards the end of the 2010s. While in 2013, the traffic amounted to 19,879 terabytes (TB), in 2020, this number was already up to 380,328 TB. Subsequently, the 2021 mobile data traffic of 578,953 TB was an annual increase of over 52 percent. The significant increase at the end of the 2010s and the beginning of the 2020s was partly due to the increase in the amount of data in mobile tariffs and packages and later also due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2023, the data traffic was estimated to increase to 1,350 thousand TB or 1,350 PB.
