The index for the demand for skilled professionals in the fourth quarter of 2023 in Germany was 117 (base quarterly period: 1st quarter 2015 = 0). This is an increase of 8 points from the previous quarter. The shortage of skilled labor in Germany rose continuously after the slump caused by the coronavirus crisis in the first quarter of 2029, but the upward trend in the skilled labor index stopped in the second quarter of 2022.
