In 2023, approximately 220.9 thousand multiple-entry Schengen Area (uniform) visas were issued to consulates located within Russia, marking a decrease compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the number of issued MEVs fell sharply in 2020. The multiple-entry Schengen visas allow to spend travelers up to 90 days within an 180-day period with a possibility to re-enter without having to applying for a new visa.
