When it comes to travel portals, they come handy in different ways. Consumers use them to search for accommodation, book their flight tickets, and much more. These portals can make travel planning easier and stress-free. But, when their is a wide range of travel portals available in the market, which one of them are actually popular among the end customers?
Booking.com and TripAdvisor are the two of most well-known travel portals in the UK. Both of them are recognized by 92 percent and 89 percent of internet respondents respectively. After them come TUI and easyJet holidays, each one of whom is recognized by 88 percent of consumers. Expedia comes in fifth in this list, followed by Jet2holidays and Thomas Cook.
For this study, brand awareness was surveyed employing the concept of aided brand recognition, showing respondents both the brand's logo and the written brand name.
