According to a survey conducted in South Korea in early 2022, around 45 percent of respondents stated that they had tried Coupang Eats' "one order, one delivery" system. First launched in 2019, this single-order delivery system works on the concept of having a delivery worker pick up and deliver a single order at a time, rather than picking up multiple orders and delivering them one at a time to multiple addresses over the course of a single trip. This service gained popularity during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic due to limited contact and fast delivery times, however around 65 percent of people who had used the service stated that they used it less frequently than traditional food delivery services, due to its limited geographical availability and its higher delivery fees.
