In 2021, Denmark produced a total of 3.8 million cubic meters of crude oil. Of that amount, nearly 1.5 million cubic meters was produced at the Halfdan oilfield, which was the most productive oilfield for Denmark that year.
Oil extraction in the Danish part of the North Sea began in 1972, and is set to end by 2050 due to the country's climate commitments.
