Out of the total 1.54 million unemployed persons in Mexico in the first quarter of 2024, only 40,720 had been jobless for longer than a year. The vast majority, about 46 percent, had been unemployed for less than a month. Furthermore, approximately 54 percent of Mexican unemployed persons had graduated from high school or from a higher educational level.
